Visual Indicators & Actions During Collection

There are several visual indicators present on the screen during object collection, and each of them serve a very specific purpose. Below is a breakdown of each visual indicator and how to interpret the feedback received from them.

Angle Indicator

The circle in the middle of your screen and the text inside of it are there to guide you to the correct angle for each frame of collection. As you move further from the correct angle, the dashed lines around the circle move further apart. As you move closer towards the correct angle, the dashed lines around the circle move closer together.

Once you’ve reached the correct angle for collection, the dashed lines will become solid and the circle outline color will turn blue.

Distance Indicator

The rectangle surounding your screen is there to guide you to the correct distance for each frame of collection. As you move further from the correct distance, the dashed lines around the rectangle move further apart. As you move closer towards the correct distance, the dashed lines around the rectangle move closer together.

Red Autoboxing Indicator

The red box on screen is there to give you a preview of what the system will recognize as your object. When collecting your object, you should aim to have the red box surround the entirety of your object without cropping it in every frame. The red box guidelines are not a hard requirement for collection and will not prevent you from proceeding to collect your object.

Progress Bar

The progress bar at the top of your screen shows you how far along you are in the collection process. The green dots represent collection steps that have been completed, the gray dots represent collection steps you have not yet started, and the yellow bar indicates the collection step you are currently on.

If you tap on the progress bar or on the help icon on the bottom left of your screen, you will be able to see an expanded view of the progress bar with additional details.

Successful Frame example

Once you’ve reached the correct distance and angle for the collection step you’re on, your screen should look like this:

At this step you should hold your phone still while a burst of frames is captured. Once the frames have successfully been captured, you will see a green checkmark appear on screen.
