How to Capture an Object on the AmniSphere App
Log In
Log in to your AmniSphere mobile app. You will be taken to a view of your current folders and objects. Tap the “Uncollected” tab to view all objects that you have not yet captured.

Select an Object
Tap on an object that you would like to collect. You will immediately be taken to the capture process.

View Capture Guides on App
If this is your first time capturing an object on this account, you will be taken through several screens explaining the motions our capture process requires as well as how to place your wireframe before capturing an object. Please read through these screens carefully. If you would not like to see these screens again, check the “Don’t show me this again” checkbox on these screens.
Choose Bottom Collection Option
A prompt will appear asking if you’d like to collect the bottom of your object. You should select “Yes” if your object appears differently on its other side and you expect that side to be detected as well by our system. If your object is uniform on all sides, select “No” and proceed with your object capture.
Acknowledge App Warnings
Read and acknowledge the photosensitivity and epilepsy warning that appears on your screen.
Place a Wireframe
Tap to place your wireframe and adjust it to fit your object. The wireframe should completely surround your object and should be larger than your object. Once your wireframe is appropriately placed, tap on the “Start” button.

Capture an Object
Capture the side and top of your object by following the indicators on screen. The app will first take you through a capture from the side, then a capture from the top, and will prompt you to flip over your object if you’ve selected to do a capture of the bottom of your object. Ensure all sides are captured as instructed. Once done, tap “Upload” to upload the video of the captured object.

Upload the Object Capture
The app will indicate that the video is uploading in the background. You can continue using the app normally during this process. You can monitor the progress of your object upload on the home screen. The object status will show as “Collecting” during the upload process and will change to “Collected” once your upload is complete.
